New Release: VAPS XT-178 ARINC 661 Part 1 Binary Generator
PACE Aerospace Engineering and Information Technology (PACE) is pleased to announce the release of its latest VAPS XT-178 ARINC 661 Binary Generator Tools and Qualification kit.
The latest release supports all users that want to automatically generate Binary DF’s from the VAPS XT 5.0 ARINC 661 editor and take advantage of tool qualification per DO-330 up to TQL 1. This allows users to claim certification credit in DO-178C certifiable ARINC 661 developments. VAPS XT has supported the development and automatic generation of ARINC 661 DFs for over 15 years with certification support and this latest release provides support for resource management of CDS deployment along with updated qualification kits.
Manually creating and verifying the contents of an ARINC 661 Binary DF can be a time consuming and difficult task. The VAPS XT Binary generation tools allows users to easily verify in a human readable format the contents of XML model contents and use the TQL-1 tool to generate the Binary File required to be loaded into an ARINC 661 CDS. This automation and Tool Qualification removes the need for manual review or verification of the Binary file.
Supporting the Industry standard ARINC 661 Binary format users can create files compatible with ARINC 661 Servers from Supplement 2 – Supplement 9 including the use of widget extensions. This provides benefits to users of all ARINC 661 CDS users that are required to create new DF’s.
In addition to generating industry ARINC 661 Binary DF the TQL-1 Tools allows VAPS XT users to generate configuration resources for PACE VAPS XT developed ARINC 661 CDS. With the ability to create configuration resources of colors, line styles, fill patterns, styling rules, skinned images and more. With the ability to adjust styling and resources rapidly CDS customization is even more straight forward.
“Providing TQL-1 Tools with the supporting qualification kit allows our customers to focus on the key tasks of building the content required in an ARINC 661 system. With easy-to-use automation the tasks of rapidly deploying new UA content to a CDS become much faster and with reduced cost.” said Matt Jackson, Technical Product Manager of HMI & Embedded Graphics at PACE.
“The release of VAPS XT-178 ARINC 661 Binary is the second major tool release since the successful integration of VAPS Tools into the ownership of TXT-PACE. PACE is strongly committed to continue the long history of delivering VAPS Family Tools and innovation to the industry. We are excited that new features and products will continue and be accelerated under the new ownership with the objective to bring more value to the customers and the market” said Andrea Bassi, Head of HMI & Embedded Graphics Business Unit at PACE.
