PACE and Lufthansa taking crew training to the next level

Berlin, Germany, 5 November 2025 – PACE Aerospace and Information Technology GmbH (PACE), a subsidiary of TXT e-solutions Spa (STAR: TXT: MI), has been chosen by Lufthansa Aviation Training GmbH to pioneer the next generation of cabin crew training with cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) technology, as part of the D-CEET project (Digital Twin & Virtual Reality Cabin Emergency Evacuation).
The D-CEET project will transform the way cabin and cockpit crews prepare for safety and emergency procedures, creating a scalable, data-driven digital training environment aligned with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
PACE will design fully immersive advanced learning modules, integrated with a highly realistic digital twin of the Airbus A320neo cabin and powered by its proprietary Pacelab WEAVR platform. This proven technology enables rapid development of high-quality VR experiences with unparalleled interactivity and realism.
“PACE brings an exceptional track record in VR training solutions and seamless process integration—qualities that make them the ideal partner for this groundbreaking project,” says Sarah Engelmann, Project Lead D-CEET at Lufthansa Aviation Training.
Frank Ehlermann, CEO of PACE, adds: “We are proud to strengthen our long-standing partnership with the Lufthansa Group through this forward-looking project, which redefines how safety and emergency training is delivered.”
The new VR training modules will emphasize critical skills such as executing emergency procedures and sustaining situational awareness, enhanced by integrated eye-tracking and physiological sensors. Training will be available in both single-user and multiplayer modes, offering highly flexible and engaging learning experiences.
Designed for both cabin and cockpit crew across passenger and cargo operations, the system aims to train up to 20,000 Lufthansa Group crew members annually, as well as external airline customers, at Lufthansa’s CEETs training centers worldwide.
